About the size and weight of a brick

Bright light will be in my travel bag and backpack on longer trips. Wish it had rubber bumper sides vs hard plastic in case I drop and protective covers for outlets. I'll keep it in a Ziploc bag to help protect it. It'll charge the devices I've tried, though I have worked it to empty yet.

Great Solar Power Supply for Camping

This is a very powerful solar powered charging unit. It has a great bank of LEDs, so it can double as a light source, as well. While I believe it is too bulky and heavy for use when backpacking, it is ideal for car/trailer camping, where the size and functionality are impressive. I was able to fully charge my Samsung S21 in 60 minutes, using this, and only consumed about 25% of the power stored. It also charges well, even in indirect light. I can see using this when camping; leaving it on the picnic table during the day, then charging my phone and using the LED lighting at night.

Airport Security in Germany confiscated my charger

The awesome product keeps charged for over a week in full. Charges my device over 4 times on a single charge. solar fills while full, don't attempt to just use solar. However, Germany Airport Sec said this is too big for airline travel and confiscated it. If traveling abroad, pack it in the belly!

Be prepared!

Since we all are experiencing 'electrical black outs' from time to time decided to have a 'back up plan'. We all should be prepared for emergencies and this device suits the bill. It is a bit heavy so the only reason I didn't provide 5 star on the 'travel' rate, if it's by car no problem but when packing for a flight this will add a couple of pounds. Had it out for a trial run, holds a charge for some time, and just needs some bright light, even a gray day provides power. Guessing our 'phones' will be our connection to family to soothe worry. We have been warned to expect to survive on our own for weeks before we can expect help from 'emergency' services. Best to be prepared! One step in that direction, now work on the others!
